Holly Chocolate Biscuit Cake

Ingredients

600.0g of Digestive Biscuits (€0.74)
550.0g of Plain Chocolate (Cheap) (€2.45)
550.0g of Dark Chocolate (Cheap) (€2.45)
450.0g of Butter (€2.19)
200.0ml of Golden Syrup (€0.68)
135.0g of Malteasers (€2.00)
4 Mars Bars (€0.75)

Total Cost: €11.25

Directions

1) For best result - use tin with removable base
2) Melt Butter, Golden Syrup and Chocolate at a low heat in pan (butter at bottom)
3) Stop the heat just before the last butter is melted
4) Have the biscuits broken by hand before-hand (at least into quarters) in the big bowl
5) Add in approx half of the mars bar pieces at this stage (cut these into 8/10 pieces)
6) Now fill the cake tin
7) Use Potato Masher to ensure the biscuits are squashed down - also pour over some chocolate to cover in all the holes
8) After each layer add in some mars bar pieces
9) Bang down the tin to finish
10) Leave in fridge to set (2 hours)
